actually incredibly deep and complex. You show people the need to rethink their
assumptions, and confront them on everything from how they think to where they
build their houses. You might be one of the greatest people of all time. You'd
be recognized as such if you weren't always talking about talking rabbits.

I read this in 9th grade, and I still have the book. I read it several times as a teen but haven't in YEARS. You should give it a try...and maybe I should, too!
There's an animated film based on the book as well.
A friend of mine in college who was obsessed with animals (wildlife management major, go figure) lent me the book. I didn't want to read it, but I'd say its now one of my favorite's.
I would highly recommend it.
I turned up the same thing! Not sure I want to be a talking rabbit... now a talking dog that would be cool...not that I'm calling myself a "dog"... woof.
Just catching up here, Iris. Hang in there...you won't probably be doing this forever. As for the book, it is one of my favorites. I would never have read it, except that my daughter was assigned to read it in 11th grade and raved about it. She kept saying, "Mom, you HAVE to read this book. You will LOVE this book." So I did and she was right. I went on to read other books by the same author. Kris and I still refer to it sometimes almost 20 years later. We call it "the bunny book." I'm going to go take the quiz.
