It makes me a little crazy that there are parents who really want their kids to be confirmed, regardless of whether or not it means anything to the kid.

Proud of you for putting your foot down.Dihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05501047587752329779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34916748.post-34179529813473170782007-04-23T17:28:00.000-05:002007-04-23T17:28:00.000-05:00I know what you mean! (I've called, but ahve always been rebuffed.) However, three of kids in that class tell me that the class was turning point for them spiritually and have greatly increased their invovlement since then. So, I don't know.

I do have a big problem with parents who make "deals" with their kids that if they do Confirmation then they won't be "made" to go to church anymore. These parents are hoping that something I teach them is going to make them excited about church membership. When that doesn't happen- who gets the blame?Irishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07036519649244011605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34916748.post-62263882461193674242007-04-23T16:25:00.000-05:002007-04-23T16:25:00.000-05:00Amen to that Songbird.Amen to that Songbird.Jody Harringtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08031378214797420014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34916748.post-78534592587121609492007-04-23T14:47:00.000-05:002007-04-23T14:47:00.000-05:00I wonder why we think Confirmation is so important...I wonder why we think Confirmation is so important, particularly when it is so often followed by disappearing from church.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08235049965406944684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34916748.post-7050534285374936092007-04-23T12:27:00.000-05:002007-04-23T12:27:00.000-05:00Welcome to my world.
